Celebrant Profile
Home county: Dublin
I am delighted to be a Humanist Celebrant. I have been a humanist for over 30 years. However, it was my attendance at a humanist funeral that led me to joining the Humanist Association of Ireland in 2008. Having raised three children in a secular family. I hugely value the importance of marking and celebrating those milestones of life with meaningful humanist ceremonies. As a humanist celebrant I particularly enjoy creating and facilitating personal, memorable and moving ceremonies for those life events of birth, marriage and death. If you would like to hear me chat some more about the process of creating a Humanist Wedding Ceremony, you can listen to the ‘One Fab Day’ podcast here https://play.acast.com/s/onefabday/howtomakeyourceremony-really-special Most of my professional life has been spent designing and delivering training in the areas of aviation, hospitality and intellectual disability. In 2015 I graduated from Trinity College Dublin. I hold a B.A.Hons in History of Art & Architecture and Classical Civilization On the 12th July, 2020 I had the honour of representing the Humanist Association of Ireland on the National Day of Commemoration in the Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, Dublin. My reflection is here.
