HAI accredited Celebrant Logo
All accredited Humanist celebrants have completed rigorous training and mentoring programmes. The training programme is approved by the Registrar General and the Health Service Executive (HSE) and all our HAI accredited celebrants are named on the HSE list of approved solemnisers of marriages.
So if you are looking for a legal Humanist wedding, you should look for the Humanist Association of Ireland (HAI) accredited celebrant logo. Otherwise, you may end up with a celebrant who cannot marry you legally, and you will have to go to the registry office for the legal component.
Your cover
We have a network of celebrants to ensure that, in the highly unlikely event that your chosen celebrant becomes unavailable we have a system that would endeavour to find a HAI replacement celebrant.
Our office staff will always respond quickly to any unlikely events with minimal stress to you.
Quality Standards
All our celebrants work to a specific set of high standards to ensure that your experience is the best it can be. All accredited Humanist celebrants complete intensive training and mentoring programmes before they are registered to conduct any type of ceremony.
Our celebrants are regularly reviewed and participate in ongoing continual professional development programmes.
Choosing an accredited Humanist celebrant means you are supporting a charity, as the Humanist Association of Ireland is a registered charity.
Your HAI contribution fee goes towards:
- supporting our charitable work
- building the humanist community,
- promoting educational initiatives and
- providing a range of ceremonies across Ireland for humanists and the non-religious.
All our celebrants work to a set of standards to ensure that your ceremony is meaningful, personal and dignified within a broad Humanist framework. Our celebrants are also subject to a complaints process. If you have any reason to be dissatisfied with the service your celebrant is providing, please raise your concerns directly with your celebrant in the first instance. If this proves difficult or is unsatisfactory, please email admin@humanism.ie and we will do all we can to resolve the matter.
