Garda Síochána Memorial Day

CEO Jillian Brennan represented the HAI at An Garda Síochána Memorial Day at Dublin Castle on Saturday. Jillian delivered a short Humanist reflection during the ceremony, which honoured and remembered the 89 members of An Garda Síochána who gave their lives in the service of their country. The Garda Commissioner Drew Harris and the Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee both gave an address at the ceremony.

National Commemoration of the Great Famine

Separately, HAI Celebrant, Gail Quinn, represented the HAI at the National Commemoration of the Great Famine, which took place on Sunday in Edgeworthstown in Longford. The event was also attended by Taoiseach Simon Harris and Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports, and Media, Catherine Martin.
