Issues around voluntary assisted dying have never been so prominent in the public discourse in Ireland, with a Bill currently before the Oireachtas that would legalise the practice in limited circumstances.
The matter of personal autonomy and control at end of life has always been one that humanists and secularists have taken great interest in, not least because so much of the approach and legal framework in relating to it in Ireland has been influenced by religious doctrine.
The HAI’s April meeting will address the topic, with a conversation led by Janie Lazar of End of Life Ireland. As always, engagement and contributions from attendees is encouraged.
When: Wednesday April 14th at 19:30
Where: Online, on Zoom
