When I joined the Humanist community in 2016, I felt that I had finally met 'my tribe': Humanism is the perfect outward expression of how I've come to feel about myself as a person. As Humanists, we develop a concern for the Earth, as we realise that we are living our only life on this planet which is our only home. This concern then naturally ripples out to envelop our brothers and sisters who also share our home with us. We need to extend the hand of friendship to all human beings on the planet, let them know that they are not alone, and that we are all in this together.
